CDR Maguire Engineering is on the lookout for a motivated Technical Assistant for our exciting Interchange Reconstruction project in Allegheny County, kicking off in July 2025. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity for those looking to start their career in construction inspection.
As a Technical Assistant, you'll be the go-to person consulting with contractors, engineers, and job superintendents around all aspects of construction projects, from plans and specifications to safety practices. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include things like preparing daily progress reports, maintaining schedules, and ensuring that the materials used meet contract specifications.
You’ll check shop drawings and manage contractors’ progress claims to recommend payments. At CDR Maguire, your role is essential in assuring that everything runs smoothly and safely on-site.
You'll need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. We’re looking for someone with great communication skills who can follow instructions, keep accurate records, and tackle some manual labor when necessary.
